Welcome

Hurricane Butterfly Research Corporation is a licensed firearms manufacturer, dealer, and exporter specializing in the export of firearms and related accessories worldwide, in compliance with US law and regulation. All firearm exports are conducted from the Tacoma, Washington office in conjunction with the Firearms Law Group.

We offer firearms for sale at our public New Hampshire location. A select number of firearms are available for retail sale from our private Washington location.

No export project is too big or small. The smallest export transaction performed by Hurricane Butterfly was valued at several hundred dollars, but represented large future potential. Hurricane Butterfly’s largest export transaction exceeded a million dollars and required U.S. Congressional notification. Both transactions were treated as equal in importance, and were performed with personal attention and diligence.

The base fee for preparing the export documents is $250 plus 5% of the transaction value, with a minimum fee of $500. This fee includes all fees paid to U.S. Government Agencies, to include the U.S. State Department. For transactions exceeding $250,000 in value, or for the export of unusual items, the export fee may be negotiated. Alternate rates are available to Canadian and Australian collectors.

Delivery terms are Ex-Works Tacoma, Washington; shipping costs are not included within the fee charged to prepare the export documents. At the end of 2009, Hurricane Butterfly had a 97.8% success rate in DSP-5 export permit approvals.

Thanks!

"Just a quick e-mail to let you know that my brooms are now in my possession and are safely in my gun safe. A big "thank you " to all of you for your honesty and professionalism!

For your amusement, here is a rundown of what was involved from my end to take possession of the brooms. Sounds quite involved but everything went smoothly as I had every paper and permit required. Just a lot of driving to and from the airport and walking from one counter to the next.

Here is the story...
Last Saturday I received a call from Air Canada Cargo (DHL) that the pistols had arrived at the airport. An e-mail was sent too. On Monday I faxed this notification and all the permits to the local firearms registrar and within a couple of hours they faxed back an approved permit to transport the pistols from the airport to my home. With this last piece of paperwork in hand, I went to the airport yesterday. I had to go to the airport yesterday as my transport permit was only good for 24 hours.

1) A first stop at Air Canada cargo's desk. Waited in line with others while looking at clerks shuffle wads of air landing documents for all sorts of cargo. When it was my turn, I paid for the air shipping (about $200) and was given a receipt."
